Lake Tawakoni State Park is a sprawling 376 acre state park with plenty to do for anyone that loves the outdoors. There are roughly 75 campsites to choose from for those looking to camp overnight. There is a great swim beach within the park.
Amenities of the park include:
- Swim beach
- Tent camping
- RV camping
- Boat ramp
- Hiking trails
- Fishing pond
There are plenty of trees for shade through out the park. The trees add to the beautiful lake scenery. Camping can be a great deal of fun and the campsites here are exactly what you would expect from a state park. The RV spaces are long and level and have plenty of room to park. The campsites have a nice tent pad, a fire ring, and a picnic table.
The swim beach is very nice and also very large. Whether you are coming out for the afternoon or spending a few days camping, stopping by the beach area is a great way to cool off and take a swim.
Near the front of the park is a great little fishing pond. If you don’t want to fish on the banks of the lake, this little pond is the perfect spot to fish. There are some picnic tables located around the pond.
There are a couple of really nice hiking trails within the park if you want to get out and explore.
This is a great state park. If you want to go camping or just enjoy the day, you should check out Lake Tawakoni State Park.
